Are you ready to become a badass at self-care & become that independent, empowered woman you always wanted to be?
I’m going to start with something a little controversial. I know. A little daring for someone that you just met. Here it goes: Self-care techniques are just temporary band-aids if you don’t get to the root of what led you to seek those techniques in the first place (annnd, mic drop).
Okay, hear me out.
Self-care is not a one and done thing or even a couple of times a week thing. It’s a continuous process that happens every day, all day. Not so bad right?
Unfortunately, you’re probably here for one or more of these reasons:
You wish you were doing better with your self-care practices
Your self-care game can use a little boost. You tend to do a few things here and there, but wish you could do more.
You feel selfish spending time on yourself instead of tending to everyone else in your life.
You like many others were taught to be of service to others first and foremost, and yourself last. While this fosters empathy and is a great quality to have, it can leave us feeling exhausted & unable to care for others like we wish to.
You know you should be doing more self-care, but just feel guilty doing it.
You feel bad taking time for yourself instead of doing getting that job assignment done or spending time with your friends or partner, especially with how busy life is.
There are too many things going on and there's no time to engage in more self-care.
Like, you would have to go all Marty McFly ala “Back to the Future” to go back in time a few times to create more time for yourself.
You don't know much about self-care techniques
This may be the first time that you hear about self-care or you’ve heard it through the grape vine a few times and want to know more about it.
You were simply curious what this was all about
You saw the name of my program and thought ‘Hm, that’s cute’
Now, there are a couple of things that get in the way of being able to engage in daily & continuous self-care and it may not be what you think.
In fact, we’re gonna go deep for a hot minute. The reason why your self-care practices aren’t to par isn’t that there isn’t enough time or there’s too much to do.
It’s because your unhealed wounds from past traumas, adverse experiences, all the way to your upbringing have taken a hold of your life and you didn’t even know it. Told you it was going to get real!
These wounds are made up of the ingredients that take your attention away from you and instead put the focus on everything else BUT you. An unconscious dancing tango happens between our old stuff we haven’t sorted through and our strengths, which creates the chaos we feel in our lives and relationships.
It makes us do some really unhealthy stuff sometimes and we start neglecting ourselves. We find ourselves exhausted and scrambling to get our self-care practices up and running because we simply have no choice…and it works for a few days, maybe a week or two.
You do the bare minimum. You tell yourself that by doing one or two things a day, it is enough to get by and maybe when you take that day or week off, you’ll make up for it.
Then, you somehow find yourself back to doing the same things, acting in ways that are not you, feeling all the feels and asking yourself: How did I get here again? Why am I feeling exhausted again?
Girl, I’m exhausted just talking about this. And, the worst part is that this hamster wheel attempt at adulting and taking care of yourself ends up making you lose the relationship with the most important person in your life…YOURSELF.

Once a Self-Care Warrior Queen, Always a Self-Care Warrior Queen
The characteristics of a self-care warrior queen are just too long to list in one small paragraph, but I’ll tease you with a couple of them. As a SCWQ you will be able to:
Take responsibility and ownership for your emotions in your life
Nourish yourself spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically
No longer give your power away to others or depend on them for your needs.
Foster and build healthy relationships with others out of a place of strength, not need.
Develop and implement your unique and individualized holistic and integrative self-care practice that feels easy and intuitive
If you’ve gotten this far down the page, you’re probably thinking ‘Man, this sounds good. But, I’m still not sure.’
That’s totally understandable. Let me lay out some points that will hopefully help you make your decision.
The SCWQ program is for you if:
You're ready to do "the work".
I'm not going to sugar coat it. This takes WORK and it takes courage. When you start tuning into your emotions and healing those unhealed wounds that have been barriers to your self-care, it won't be all sunshine and rainbows. Instead, it will be more like a rollercoaster, with highs and lows. But, in the end, you'll say: It was worth it & can we do it again?
You're "sick and tired of being sick and tired."
In the words of civil and voting rights leader, Fannie Lou Hammer, "Now I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired." And, you need guidance on how how to stop feeling that way and never get to that point again.
You feel like there's something more.
You feel like there's something more to your problems than you're not putting enough time towards your self-care. It's something that you can't explain but have a knowing that the solution is out there.
You've completely lost your sense of self.
To put it in PG terms, poop has hit the fan. After an unfolding of one, two, or several events over the last year(s), you've become so overwhelmed that you've completely disconnected from yourself and don't know where she went.
Therapy just hasn't been enough.
As a behavioral health professional and someone who is passionate about mental health, I will say that having someone to process your thoughts and emotions is key and so helpful. However, once you leave your session you still find it challenging to implement changes to your behaviors no matter how hard you try. The SCWQ will give you techniques that you can implement to further the navigation of your emotions and build self-awareness.
You're on the spiritual path, but no one else gets it.
The SCWQ program encompasses a decolonized perspective on self-care and wellness. It discusses integrating eastern, metaphysical, and western practices when it comes to overcoming your barriers to nourishing yourself and developing a unique self-care practice.
You're ready to get your self-care game on
Whether you are new to self-care, do a couple of self-care things here and there, you're open to learning about a different perspective to self-care than what is conventionally known.
The SCWQ Program is NOT for you if:
You're not ready to do "the work"
This program is like an episode of Degrassi: "It goes there." You are going to be asked to build a practice that may be uncomfortable at times because it's a new perspective and sometimes that means looking at the hard stuff that you've gone through. You may not be ready for its contents if you're not ready for it to be hard sometimes.
You don't have time to dedicate to the program
The contents of the program can get deep and you may have to watch things a few times to understand it. Additionally, there are fun worksheets to go through as you build your sense of self-awareness and self-care practice. So, if you don't have time for that then you may not be ready for this course.
You're not open to hearing about the spiritual components of self-care
This isn't a course that's too woo-woo or anything BUT it integrates different beliefs and cultures from the eastern and western world on health and consciousness, which I have all found to be effective for myself and my clients. If you don't have an open mind to hearing about these things, this may not be the program for you.
Why trust this super awesome Latinx woman that has been rambling on this whole page?
Okay okay, I hear you. Let me tell you one last little bit before you can make your mind up since you’ve almost reached the end of this page.
I’m going to be brave and say that I am certain that this will bring some change in your life because I was right there with you a couple of years back.
A couple of years back I found myself completely lost, disoriented, fatigued, and with health problems including depression, anxiety, dissociation, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) (which is the absolute worse). I didn’t even know what self-care was!
I was so astounded by how low I had felt and the different person I became, I promised myself I wouldn’t let it happen again and that I would get myself out of it.
It wasn’t easy and what conventional western medicine says works, didn’t for me. So, I became the participant in my own research experiment to determine what other things were out there to help me heal and in the process, woke up to my truth as I started removing the barriers that got me to that low point in the first place. These are the foundations of the Self-Care Warrior Queen program.
I can say that now, 6 years later, I have healed most (if not all) of my childhood and past wounds. I no longer am depressed or anxious and have overcome my history of stomach issues. I have never been more grounded in my physical and emotional body and soul, how it functions, and how to tend to its needs than now. And, although “the work” is a lifetime process, I have never felt more like my true authentic self than I do now, and I want the same for you and know it is possible.
This is just an educational program, but it is up to you and the work that you do that will determine what level of impact and change it will bring in your life. It does all of the things that I’ve talked about and more. And, even if it’s not this immense life-altering change, it’s going to drop a seed of knowledge and change in perspective when it comes to your emotions, how you respond to your life, and your self-care practices. It’ll leave you a little more informed about who you really are and it’s something that you can take with you for the rest of your life in every area of your life.
